Nick has 15 years’ experience in arboricultural consultancy work & has successfully delivered bespoke solutions for large & small scale projects in the commercial & domestic arenas. His reports have helped clients obtain planning permission in a variety of situations & his surveys have meant clients trees are safe & their sites protected. Nick was a Director of arboricultural services for a organisation in the ground-based services sector and an Arb. manager of a medium-sized business, so he has insight into the unique challenges facing business owners & project managers in this sector & how to deliver solutions, especially in construction and development.
Nick assists firms with ecological compliance for planning by undertaking aerial inspections for bat roosts; this experience means The Sussex Tree Company is well-placed to ensure its clients are compliant with ecological, as well as arboricultural compliance, for gaining planning permission or successfully delivering planning conditions.
Nick is currently an Assessor for the Arboricultural Association’s Approved Contractor Scheme & a remote assessor for Level 4 Arboriculture for Tree Life AC; this gives him unique insights into the industry as a whole & ensures his knowledge is up to date. Nick also trains students in City & Guilds NPTC chainsaw-related qualifications, so they can start their journey into the industry. Nick holds a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety.
